Description
The Tourist Information Centre, formerly known as Robinson's School, is a building that likely dates back to the Elizabethan period and was altered in 1670. It features a carved inscription that reads "ex sumptibus dn. Wil Robinson civis Lond anno dn 1670." The exterior is finished with coloured roughcast over stone and has an old stone slate roof, comprising two low storeys.
The building has a moulded stone doorway with an inscribed lintel. There are three windows on each floor, which consist of three and two lights, all with chamfered stone mullions and small leaded panes. A label runs over the ground floor, arching over the door and windows. On the left-hand return side, there is a later addition of a three-light window. A central stone chimney is also present.
