Description

Corney House, originally comprising Nos. 1 and 2 Corney Place, dates to 1777. It is constructed of coursed red sandstone ashlar with long and short quoins, stone architraves, and horizontal bands. The house is arranged over three storeys, with a single-storey wing at each end featuring a six-panelled door and a Doric column with cornice. Fanlights above the doors have Gothic-style glazing bars. Five sash windows are present on each floor.
