The British Legion Musgrave Hall is a late 18th century and 19th century building located on the west side of Middlegate. It features scored stucco and stands two storeys high with quoins. The projecting portion on the left has a double sash window on the ground floor and a single sash window above. The middle block includes a blocked doorway that displays painted and gilded arms from 1615 on the lintel, along with two sash windows on each floor, one of which is double.
On the right side, the projecting wing has a rainwater head dated 1890 and features a wide bay window on each floor supported by Tuscan columns as mullions, complete with a frieze and cornice. The return side facing Brunswick Road showcases a round-arched doorway with imposts, a keystone, and a fanlight that includes glazing bars.
