Description
The Chamley Arms is a house, cottage, and barn that has been converted into an inn. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and has undergone later additions and alterations. The building is constructed of rendered rubble with rusticated quoins on the former house and cottage. It features a graduated slate roof with stone and brick chimneys, and a ball finial at the west end. The structure is two storeys high with a total of eight bays. The former house and cottage have two panelled doors set in rusticated surrounds, three sash windows on the ground floor, and four sash windows above, all with glazing bars and stone surrounds. The former barn has three similar sash windows on the first floor, positioned above two 20th-century garage doors. A single-storey 20th-century addition to the east end is not included in the listing.
