Description
No. 19 North Scale is a farmhouse dated 1762, built for William and Jane Tomlinson. It features roughcast stone walls and a composition tile roof. The building has two storeys and two windows on the first floor, with a double-depth plan. A central part-glazed door is set within a stone architrave and is topped by a cornice supported by consoles. The windows are C20 casements with projecting sills, placed under segmental arches. Above the door, there is a shaped date plaque. The farmhouse also has roughcast end stacks.
