Description
Pheasant Bush Cottage and the adjoining barn are a farmhouse and barn dating from the mid-18th century, with some later alterations. The structure features mixed sandstone and rubble walls, while the front of the house is covered in painted render. It has graduated greenslate roofs, with one limestone chimney stack and another made of 20th-century brick. The house is two storeys tall and consists of three bays, with a two-bay extension at the rear that creates a slight hip in the roof. The barn has a single bay on the right with a slightly higher roof line. The house includes an off-centre 20th-century door and sash windows with glazing bars, all set in painted stone surrounds. The barn features lower-level twin plank doors in stone surrounds beneath a central loft doorway, with slit vents on two levels flanking the doors.
