Description

This is an early to mid-19th century house located in Ulverston. It is constructed of limestone rubble, likely with roughcast removed, and features limestone ashlar dressings and a slate roof. The symmetrical design has two storeys above a cellar and comprises three bays. The windows have narrow, painted stone surrounds and projecting sills, with a sill band on the first floor. They are sash windows without glazing bars. Cellar openings are positioned below the ground-floor windows. A door is set within a painted plain stone surround and a doorcase of limestone ashlar, featuring engaged unfluted Greek Doric columns on square bases, a plain entablature with a fillet, a cornice, and a blocking course. Chimneys are situated on the left and right sides; the right-hand chimney has a limestone ashlar cap.
