Description

No. 23 King Street is a shop with accommodation above, likely dating from the late 18th century, and has been altered over time. The building features painted render and a slate roof, standing three storeys tall with two bays. The ground floor is taken up by a shop front that is flanked by fluted pilasters. To the left, there is a round-arched yard entry leading to Leather Lane. The upper windows are later 20th-century casements set in painted surrounds with projecting sills. A moulded cornice gutter runs along the top, with a lead downpipe on the left side, which includes a fluted lead hopperhead.
