Description

The barn attached to Parkinhill Farmhouse dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of roughcast over stone rubble with a slate roof and has two storeys. The barn features a central boarded and studded door with a fanlight and lintel, along with four windows on the lower level and five on the upper level. Seven of these windows have two Gothic-headed lights with casements, stone lintels, and sills, while two are long French windows. The right-hand portion of the barn, which is the northern section, is older than the rest. Additionally, there is a stone barn attached to the south under the same roof, which includes two rows of arrow slits.
