Description

This is an orangery attached to the south of the stables, located to the north of Dallam Tower. It was built in the early 19th century and is attributed to G. Webster of Kendal. The structure features an iron and glass design set on a stone plinth. It has iron uprights adorned with rosettes, a moulded top rail, and vertical iron intermediate glazing bars that curve to the roof, with no horizontal glazing bars present. The glass has a scalloped lower edge, and each pane overlaps the one below. There are pairs of curved panelled doors at each end, and the orangery rests on a low stone plinth.
