Description
No 3 Thorny Hills is a house built around 1823, likely designed by Francis and George Webster for Samuel Bromley. It features tooled ashlar stonework on a plinth, with bands at the first-floor sill and eaves. The building has a moulded cast-iron gutter supported by dentils and a graduated slate roof, with a stone chimney at the north end that it shares with No 4. The house is two storeys tall with a cellar and consists of two bays. To the left, there is a tall sash window in a recessed surround, with a cellar window below it. This is next to a semicircular-headed carriage arch that has ramped, plank, double gates. A panelled door is located in a corniced doorcase on the left side of the passage. On the first floor, there are two sash windows, all of which have glazing bars.
