Description

Newsham Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse located in Castle Sowerby. It features mixed sandstone rubble walls with flush quoins, topped by a graduated greenslate roof that has gable end chimney stacks made of banded sandstone. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. There is an off-centre 20th-century boarded door with an overlight, set within a painted alternate-block surround. The farmhouse has double casement windows with glazing bars in painted stone surrounds, except for a single window located above the door.
