Description

The boundary stone adjacent to Barkinbeck Bridge is likely from the early 19th century and is made of dressed limestone. It stands upright with a round head and features deep chamfers with pyramid stops at the front corners. The stone is painted black and white and has incised and painted sans-serif lettering that reads "PRESTON PATRICK" on the northwest side and "LUPTON" on the southeast side. This stone is similar to a series of milestones and boundary stones found in nearby parishes.
