Description

Rose Cottage is a late 18th-century cottage located on Church Street in Dalton in Furness. The exterior features roughcast walls and a graduated slate roof. The building has two storeys with two windows on the first floor. The central doorway is framed by a hood supported on iron brackets and contains a part-glazed, six-panel door. The windows are 16-pane casements with iron opening lights, and there are projecting sills beneath them. A tall end stack is situated to the right on the party wall shared with Nos 2 and 3 Church Street. Inside, the cottage has a principal-rafter roof truss.
