Description

This is a shop with living accommodation above, dating to circa 1870. The building is constructed of scored stucco on brick, with a 20th-century tile roof. Situated on a corner plot, it has three storeys and a 3x1 bay arrangement. The Robert Street facade features a plain entrance door with an overlight, flanked by wooden pilasters. To the right is a renewed six-pane shop window, positioned under a plain frieze and cornice supported by brackets. The first and second floors have projecting sills to six-pane sash windows, set within reveals and beneath cambered arches. The Allison Street facade mirrors the Robert Street composition, with a continuous entablature. The first bay includes later casement windows on the ground and first floors, while the other windows match those on the Robert Street facade. A wooden cornice, also on brackets, sits at the eaves of the hipped roof.
