Description

The structure is a sanctuary cross located south of Cross House, dating from the early 18th century. It features a recutting of an earlier inscribed cross that is set on a 19th-century plinth. The cross is made of red sandstone and is mounted on a rubble plinth. It has a carved cross and an inscription that reads "Sanctuarium" in older lettering, along with the year "1088" in early 18th-century lettering.
