Description
The barn located to the north of Hincaster Hall is a Grade II listed structure, likely built in the early 19th century. It has been repurposed as a store and garage. The barn features stone rubble walls and a graduated greenslate roof with a stone ridge, and there are ball finials at each end. It consists of six bays and has cart entrances on both sides; the southern entrance has board doors under a slate canopy, while the northern entrance is blocked. There is a board door in a segmental opening with cut limestone voussoirs, and square ventilation holes are present. The east gable has been rebuilt in brick. Additionally, there is a small brick lean-to with an asbestos roof at the west end of the south side, which is not of interest. The barn is listed for its group value with Hincaster Hall.
