Description
Stone House and the adjoining stable were built in the 1830s. They are constructed from dressed red sandstone and feature a graduated slate roof with a brick chimney stack. The house is two storeys high and has three bays, while the stable to the left has two bays. The house has a round-headed entrance surrounded by quoining, featuring a plank door and a drip-mould. The ground floor has single-pane sash windows, and above, there are sash windows with glazing bars that have hood-moulds ending in a cornice. The stable has two round-headed entrances with plank doors and a sash window with glazing bars above. Both the house and stable were built at the same time and are included for their group value with the adjoining Howard Cottage.
