Description

No. 52 Finkle Street is a mid-19th century lodge to the Trades Hall, now used as an office. The building is constructed of painted snecked ashlar and features angle pilasters, a string course, an eaves cornice, and a parapet set on a moulded plinth. It has a lead-hipped greenslate roof with a central ashlar chimney stack. The structure is single storey and consists of two bays. All windows are sash style, set within segmental-arched surrounds that include carved-head keystones. The left return wall has a 20th-century door in a recessed original round-arched surround, which also features a similar carved-head keystone within a pilastered doorcase.
