Description

This is a row of three early 19th-century terraced houses with associated cobbled paving. The houses were originally built as a subscription school and later divided into three dwellings. They have roughcast walls, a slate roof, and brick chimneys. Each house has a three-panelled front door; the door at number 28 has a traceried fanlight above. There are five 12-part sash windows on each of the two lower floors, while the windows on the top floor are square and smaller. All the windows are set within plain stone architraves. The three houses are slightly set back from the street and are accompanied by a stretch of cobbles in front.
