Description
Flimby Hall is a 18th-century building dating from 1766, located on Wedgewood Road in Maryport. It is a three-storey structure with a roughcast exterior and a slate roof that is hidden behind a parapet. The building features a moulded and bracketed sandstone cornice and has five windows with moulded architraves and cills. The first floor has a simple moulded cornice, and the windows are hung sashes with glazing bars, some of which are original. A rainwater head on the building bears the initials W.B and the date 1766. Inside, Flimby Hall boasts fine plaster cornices, original doors, architraves, and some fireplaces.
