Description

Caldew House is a house built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of dressed red sandstone with painted raised quoins and features a Welsh slate roof with rendered chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and a two-bay recessed centre flanked by two-bay gabled wings. The entrance includes a four-panel door set within a gabled porch. The windows are two-pane sash types, framed in painted stone surrounds. Caldew House is listed partly for its group value with the adjoining Old Vicarage on the right.
