Description
Brow Top is a building that was originally two houses but is now a single dwelling. It is dated and inscribed above the entrance with "J.A. 1758." The structure is made of calciferous sandstone rubble and features an eaves cornice and flush quoins, topped with a graduated greenslate roof and a cement rendered chimney stack. The building has two storeys and two bays. The entrance includes a panelled door set in a chamfered stone surround, with a blocked twin doorway to the left. The windows are Yorkshire sash style, framed in painted stone surrounds, and show remnants of former flat stone mullions. There are also two blocked windows on the first floor, located above the former and present doorways, along with external shutter hinge brackets on the ground floor.
