Description
13 Senhouse Street is a house built in the late 18th century, which features a later shop front. The building is constructed of stucco that has been etched to resemble stone blocks, and it has a roof covered with stone slates.
Located on the south side of Shipping Brow, the house has two bays and three storeys beneath a pitched roof with bracketed eaves. The ground floor showcases a wide shop front that includes a timber cornice and a dentilled fascia, along with a shop window made up of six large panes. To the right, there are later double doors situated below a rectangular fanlight. On the first and second floors, each level has two windows framed in stone surrounds with chamfered reveals. These windows feature one-over-one sliding sashes with margin lights. The design of the chamfers, which can also be seen on other buildings in this area of Senhouse Street, indicates a late 18th-century origin. Additionally, there is a single roof light.
