Description

No. 13 West Strand, formerly known as the Royal Standard Hotel, is a three-storey building constructed in painted stone. The ground floor features a rusticated finish, with quoins, a cornice, and a hipped roof. The building has a square plan and stands freestanding. On the ground floor, there are three round-arched openings that include windows and doors. Each of the upper floors has three sash windows, with the first-floor windows adorned with cornices. The former music hall at the rear has been demolished. Nos. 10 to 13 West Strand are part of a group with No. 1 Hamilton Lane.
