Description

The gate piers, railings, and wall to the north of Moorhouse Hall date from the late 18th century, the same period as the house itself, with 19th-century railings. They are made of sandstone ashlar and feature a moulded cornice. The walls are constructed of sandstone with plain coping, and the iron railings alternate between large and small blocks of stone from the columns, which are topped with moulded balls. A 20th-century metal gate and cattle grid are not included in the listing. This structure is included for its group value with Moorhouse Hall.
