Description

Raise Lodge is an early 19th-century farmhouse with an adjoining barn. The farmhouse is built of incised stucco, featuring an eaves cornice, parapet, and V-jointed quoins. It has a graduated greenslate roof and yellow brick chimney stacks. The barn is constructed of dressed red sandstone.

The farmhouse is two storeys high, with three bays. It features a panelled front door, protected by a patterned fanlight set within a pilastered surround with a plain frieze and cornice. Flanking the door are tripartite sash windows above, all within painted stone surrounds. The barn, of lower height, extends to the left in an L-shape and contains slit vents.
