Description
Wodow Bank is a house located in St John Beckermet, dating from 1816, as indicated by the datestone that reads "JOSEPH &/ELITH HARTLEY/1816." The building is constructed of stuccoed stone and features a slate roof that is hipped on the west and south elevations. It stands two storeys high and has a four-bay front, with the second section consisting of two bays. The windows are sashed and include glazing bars. The entrance is positioned between the first and second bays and is framed by a portico supported by diagonal piers with clustered shafts, with an additional entrance located at the end bay. There are two cross axial stacks. The west elevation consists of two bays, while the rear displays a variety of window styles, including two Venetian windows that are also sashed with glazing bars, along with the datestone.
