Description
Lyne Bank and its outbuildings is a house that was formerly a public house known as the Graham Arms. It dates from the early 19th century, likely around the same time as the nearby turnpike road, which was established in 1793. The building features painted brick walls set on a chamfered stone plinth, with raised painted quoins and a graduated hipped slate roof topped with brick chimney stacks.
The house is two storeys high and has three bays, along with a two-storey, single-bay extension on the right side. The front entrance has a 20th-century panel door framed by a painted alternate block surround. The windows are sash types with glazing bars and have raised painted stone surrounds. The extension includes a large 20th-century casement window on the ground floor, with a sash window featuring glazing bars above it. The left side wall has 20th-century windows fitted into the original openings.
At the rear, there is an adjoining stable block that forms an L-shape, also constructed of brick with painted quoins and a 20th-century tiled roof. The listing does not include the outbuildings located to the right of the main house.
