Description

A range of farm outbuildings, originally stabling, dating from the late 17th or early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The buildings are constructed of coursed squared limestone, with slate and plain-tile roofing. They are arranged in a U-shaped plan. A two-story range alongside the road features a central carriage arch with a cambered stop-chamfered lintel and a slate roof. The wing to the north side has double opposed doors set under a wooden lintel. This section of the building has a roof with tie-beams and two collars to the principal rafters, together with two tiers of purlins. Historically, the outbuildings served a former coaching inn located on the opposite side of the road, now the French Partridge restaurant.
