Description
Vane House is a house that was originally a coach house, built in the mid-18th century and later converted and altered in the 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick, which has been painted, and features a slate mansard roof. It is square in shape, two stories high, and has three window ranges. The central entrance is a 20th-century door with a gabled hood above it. The windows on both the ground and first floors are 20th-century metal casements. The house has a stone plinth and quoins, and at the top of the roof, there is a square wooden cupola with a domed lead roof and a wrought-iron weather vane. To the left, there is a two-story extension that was added in the 20th century. This building is included for its group value.
