Description
No. 4 Bridge Street is an early 18th-century building featuring a three-storey design constructed from coursed rubble with rubble gable ends. It has a Welsh slate roof and brick stacks, along with basement cellars. The façade includes five sash windows with 19th-century glazing set in stone frames with keystones, and there are decorative bands at the first and second floors, topped by a dentilled cornice. On the ground floor to the south, there is a boxed-out shop front that once served as a retail space, flanked by wooden Ionic columns, which also support a porch to the north. The rear of the building has modern brick additions. Inside, the property is reported to have some early 19th-century varnished panelling and grates, as well as an early 18th-century staircase that has been partly renewed.
