Description
Mere Farmhouse is a building that has been converted from a farmhouse to a house, with a datestone indicating it was built in 1820. The structure is made of squared coursed lias and ironstone, featuring ashlar dressings and a slate roof. It has a two-unit plan and stands three storeys tall. The front is symmetrical with a three-window range of 19th-century casements set under flat arches that include a keystone. The windows on the second floor have been replaced with 20th-century versions. The central entrance features a four-panelled door with a reeded surround. There are brick stacks at both ends of the building. The datestone is located on the left gable, and there is a wing at the rear that is likely from the late 18th century.
