Description
The Old School is a mid-19th century building located on School Street in Drayton. It is constructed of red brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof adorned with shaped slates and decorative ridge tiles. The building has an L-shaped plan and exhibits a minimum Tudor style. The left side is two storeys high and has three bays, with the central bay containing the original door. The outer bays have small gables and each features 2-light casement windows with diamond glazing bars. The right side of the building, which was the former classroom, is a single storey and includes a 3-light window with tracery reminiscent of around 1300. Additionally, there is a bellcote and a tall chimney located to the right, positioned above and behind a gabled porch.
