Description

This is a dam built in the 18th century, located on the north side of a pond approximately 15 meters north of the kitchen gardens of Edgcote House. The dam is constructed from squared coursed ironstone with a stone coping. It creates a pond that supplies an irrigation channel for the kitchen garden, which is fed from a lake in Edgcote Park. This structure is part of the irrigation system established on the estate in the 18th century.
