Description

Woodleys Farmhouse is a house that was formerly a farmhouse and inn, dating from the mid to late 17th century, with extensions from the 18th century and alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a plain-tile roof with stone end and ridge stacks, except for a brick ridge stack located to the right of center. It has a T-shaped plan and is two stories high with a three-window range.

To the right of center, there is a six-panel door, and to the left of center, a four-panel door, both with wood lintels. The four-panel door has an overlight and a straight hood supported by brackets. Flanking this door are large tripartite sash windows, also with wood lintels. There is a blocked window or door in the center of the ground floor, flanked by 9-pane sash windows. A 20th-century casement window is located to the far right on the ground floor, while the first floor features a pair of 12-pane sash windows, all with wood lintels. Additionally, there is a two-light gabled half-dormer window on the first floor to the right of center, which has a chamfered stone surround.

At the rear, there is a projecting wing that includes three-light ovolo-moulded stone mullion windows with hood moulds and a stone-coped gable with kneelers. The interior contains bar-stop-chamfered spine beams and a moulded stop-chamfered spine beam. The building was formerly known as the New Inn.
