Description

This is a 17th-century house, altered in the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone with an artificial stone slate roof, and has brick stacks. The house is two storeys and an attic, with two bays. The right-hand side of the front has a 20th-century gabled stone porch, incorporating a doorway with a concrete lintel and a 20th-century two-panel door. A window to the left has a concrete lintel and a 20th-century two-light metal casement. Similar three-light windows are found in the left and right bays. On the first floor, a three-light window features wooden lintels; the window to the right retains old iron casements. The right-hand gable is coped with kneelers. The right side of the property has a two-light stone mullioned window with a square hood on both floors and in the attic. A two-storey extension was added to the rear in the 20th century. The interior is said to contain a set of chamfered beams and an open fireplace, although it has not been inspected.
