Description

The property comprises a pair of gatepiers and gates, located approximately 20 metres south of the main front of Marston Trussell Hall. These date to the early 18th century. The gatepiers are constructed of limestone ashlar, with four square piers featuring moulded stone cornices and entablatures. The two central piers are topped with moulded stone urns, while the outer two have torch finials; the outer piers have brick bases. The piers are linked by wrought iron gates decorated with scroll and leaf motifs. The central gates have a wrought iron overthrow. The gatepiers and gates were originally part of Brampton Ash Hall and have been reset to their present location.
