Description

Bradden Lodge Farm Cottage is a late 17th-century house, originally a farmhouse. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, banded with ironstone, and has a shingle roof, with brick end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and is two storeys and an attic, featuring a four-window front facing the garden. The front entrance has a part-glazed 20th-century door, flanked by three-light casement windows on the ground floor. Above, there are two-light casements, with the exception of a small one-light leaded window on the right side, all with timber lintels. The cottage has quoins, a chamfered plinth, a 20th-century dormer window, stone-coped gables with kneelers, and a 20th-century single-storey extension to the right. Inside, the cottage features chamfered spine beams, an open fireplace with a stop-chamfered bressumer, and a stone cellar.
