Description
No. 43 High Street is a house that was formerly a public house, dating from the late 17th century and altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a plain-tile roof from the 20th century and features brick stacks at the ends. The building has an L-plan layout and consists of two storeys and an attic, with a two-window range. The front facing Main Street includes a two-light casement window on the left side of the ground floor and a three-light window from the 20th century on the right, both supported by wooden lintels. On the first floor, there is a two-light casement window on the left and a three-light casement window on the right. The structure has a plinth and a stone-coped gable with kneelers on the right side. At the rear left, there is a two-storey wing that contains the current entrance. Inside, the property features chamfered spine beams.
