Description

No. 64 Duston Main Road, known as The Chantry, is an early 19th century house. The front section is constructed of coursed rubble and has a Welsh slate roof. It is two storeys high with three sash windows on each floor, each window containing four panes within flush moulded frames. A canted bay window on the right-hand side of the ground floor has a cornice and a sunblind case. A six-panelled door is set within a surround of fluted pilasters, topped with a cornice, to the left of centre. A stuccoed wing on the left has a similar sash window to the first floor and a canted bay window to the ground floor. There is an extensive stuccoed rear wing.
