Description

Number 10 is a house dating from the 17th or 18th century, constructed from coursed squared ironstone with a tile roof and flanking brick and stone stacks. It has an L-shaped plan and consists of two storeys and an attic, with two bays. The stone jambs of a blocked doorway are located to the right of the centre, flanked by three-light casement windows that have wooden lintels. The first floor features 18th-century sash windows with heads positioned above the level of the eaves. The left gable end is coped and includes kneelers.

At the rear, there is a wing extending from the right side, built in the 18th or 19th century, using similar materials, except for the gable end, which is made of limestone banded with ironstone. This wing is one storey high with two bays and has an entrance in a 20th-century timber porch that includes a half-glazed door in the left bay. To the right, there is a casement window with a wooden lintel, and another window is located on the first floor. The gable end is coped and features a moulded stone stack.

The wall projecting from the right side at the front of the house is the remains of an 18th-century extension, built from squared coursed ironstone with chamfered limestone quoins. It has two window openings with moulded limestone frames and keystoned lintels. The interior has not been inspected.
