Description

Dating from the early to mid-19th century, around 1830, 12-14 Albion Place are a row of three houses built to resemble numbers 8-11, but distinguished by their red brick facades. The roofs are covered in Welsh slate and feature a cyma recta cornice moulding. The houses have basements and three storeys, with three sash windows on each floor, featuring glazing bars within stucco lintels. A dummy window is positioned between numbers 12 and 13. The ground floors are characterised by three-bay windows with curved sides, pilasters, and entablatures. Ornate cast iron coupled porches are present at numbers 12 and 13. The doorways have panelled reveals, reeded Doric pilasters under entablatures, and cornices. Numbers 8 to 18 Albion Place are designated as a group.
