Description
The stables, now serving as an outbuilding, are located approximately 15 meters northeast of The Old Vicarage and likely date from the mid-18th century. They are constructed of brick, lias, and cob, topped with a slate roof. Originally, the structure probably consisted of a range of three stables with a hayloft above. The elevation facing the road features a section of brickwork with a lias plinth on the left and a section of rendered cob with a brick plinth on the right. There is a casement window with glazing bars under a flat brick arch on the left side. The rear elevation is similar, with casement windows and plank doors. A brick stack is located at the ridge. The interiors have not been inspected. This building is included as an example of cob construction.
