Description

The Hall is a late 18th-century house in Cold Ashby, located on the south side of Church Lane. It is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings, which are now painted, and has a slate roof. The house was originally planned with a double-depth layout.

The entrance front has a three-window arrangement. The central entrance features a glazed door sheltered by a wooden canopy with an entablature and cornice, supported by fluted cast-iron columns. The windows are casements with glazing bars, set within flat arch heads; the window to the right of the entrance is a French door. A flat string course runs between the ground and first floors, and rusticated ashlar forms the quoins. The roof is hipped, with brick stacks positioned along the ridge.

The garden front is similar in appearance and was likely extended in the 19th century. The interior has not been inspected.
