Description
Mansfield Cottage is a mid-18th century cottage constructed from coursed limestone rubble with a thatched roof and brick stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring four bays. There is a blocked doorway with a wooden lintel in the left bay. The second and third bays from the left contain three-light casement windows, also with wooden lintels. The right bay and the second bay from the right each have similar two-light windows. On the first floor, there are three-light casement windows with wooden lintels. The left gable is coped and has kneelers. An attic window with a wooden lintel and a 20th-century casement is located on the left side. The right side of the cottage has been partly rebuilt in brick. The entrance at the rear features a wooden lintel and a ribbed plank door. The interior has not been inspected.
