Description
Highgate House is an 18th-century house, dated 1740, located on Rugby Road in Kilsby. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble and features a thatched roof with a large central brick chimney stack and a smaller stack to the left. The house has two storeys and an attic, with four bays.
A 19th-century bay window with a thatched roof is situated in the second bay from the left. The right bay contains a two-light transomed casement window with a wooden lintel, and there are two similar windows to the left. The window in the second bay from the left has replaced the original doorway. The first floor has two-light transomed casement windows, also with wooden lintels. The gable ends are coped and have kneelers.
At the rear, the entrance features a wooden lintel and a plank door with an overlight. The interior has not been inspected.
