Description

This is a row of three headstones located approximately 7 meters north of the north aisle of the Church of St. John the Baptist in Upper Boddington. The headstones date from the late 17th century and early 18th century. From left to right, the first headstone features a scrolled head with an oval inscription panel surrounded by scroll and foliage. The second headstone has a segmental head with a cherub and a raised inscription panel, flanked by pilasters that support a cornice; the inscription is partially legible. The early 18th century headstones are included for their group value with the late 17th century examples.
