Description

The wellhead, located at SP 506 362, dates from the 19th century and is constructed of limestone ashlar. It features an arched niche with a moulded keystone surround, framed by plain pilasters and a straight moulded entablature. This structure is a replica of St. Rumbald's well in Astrop Park, created when the road that previously ran through Astrop Park was altered in the 19th century.
