Description

A terrace of three cottages located on the north side of The Square in Kings Sutton, dating to the late 17th century. The cottages are constructed of uncoursed limestone and ironstone rubble, with a thatched roof and brick stacks. Originally, each cottage had a single-unit plan. Numbers 9 and 10 have 19th-century stone doorways with flat-arched heads, and to their left and right are three-light stone mullioned windows, which have been renewed. Above are two-light iron casement windows. Number 11, now accessed from the rear, features two two-light casements with wooden lintels on the ground floor, and 19th-century sash windows above. The rear of Number 11 has two three-light stone mullioned windows, and the rear of Number 10 has one similar window; the rear of Number 9 is not visible. Inside Number 9, there is an open fireplace and stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
